The Institute of Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) of the Madrid Open University is the coordinating institution of the research, development and innovation of science and technology of MOU. It is an interdisciplinary centre that coordinates all research activities of the University and presides over the Vice-Rector for research and PhD. of MOU. It accommodates the activity of Cluster E-Business (Innovative Business Group recognized by the Ministry of Industry), the Research Results Transfer Office, as well as the teaching and research activities of the Education and Information and Communication Technologies Unit of MOU.
Activities of the RDI Institute of MOU
The activities of the RDI Institute of the Madrid Open University (MOU) are based on four areas: research, technology transfer, education and the dissemination of culture, science and technology. It is therefore the main institution coordinating the activities of the three types of research performed at MOU:
- Fundamental Research
- Applied Research
- Research dedicated to the development of methodological procedures based on the application of ICT to Distance Education. The research, development and innovation activities performed in the RDI Institute of MOU include the following areas: research, technology transfer, education and dissemination.
The activities of investigation, innovation and development that it carries out in the Institute of RDI of MOU include the following areas: investigation, technological transference, formation and diffusion.
Scholarship program for predoctoral and postdoctoral research stays at UDIMA
The UDIMA R&D Institute is the coordinating institution for research, development and innovation in science and technology at UDIMA.
It is an interdisciplinary center that coordinates all the research activities of the university, and is chaired by the Vice-Rector for Research and Doctoral Studies at UDIMA.
Two calls for research stays at UDIMA are published every semester from the R&D Institute: one call for predoctoral research stays and another for postdoctoral research stays.
These stays offered by UDIMA, as an official center for their development, are linked to the Spanish R&D Plan, and are a perfect instrument for young researchers with national and international projection so that they can carry out their research activity.
The calls will be published in February and September every year. The stays will last 6 months with blended methodology, and will be aimed at researchers from different areas.
The number of vacant positions and disciplines varies in each call.

Call for Research Grants Banco Santander-UDIMA
The Banco Santander-UDIMA Research Grant Call aims to promote and encourage the research career of participants.
It is aimed at predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers, and members of the UDIMA PDI, students of any of the UDIMA doctoral programs (enrolled at the time of application) and researchers participating in the Program can submit their applications. of Research Stays of the UDIMA (in force at the time of the application).

Call for Non-European Mobility Grants Banco Santander-UDIMA
Banco Santander and UDIMA offer three scholarships of 1,500 euros aimed at undergraduate students interested in carrying out a study mobility during the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year at one of these two Colombian universities: UNIMINUTO and Universidad Sergio Arboleda.
