Aesthetic medicine never uses major surgical techniques or techniques that require general anaesthesia, as is the case with cosmetic surgery, which uses minimally invasive techniques. But despite this, it must be carried out by professionals with the appropriate training, taking into account all the biosecurity measures, indications and contraindications of the methods and/or active ingredients to be used, in order to optimise results and minimise possible unwanted effects.
Aesthetic Medicine is booming and more and more people are coming and demanding attention in this field of medicine. For this reason, this Master's Degree is a response to this social demand and to the imperative need for health professionals who deal with this speciality to have professionalism, expertise and guarantees in this medical practice.

For each teaching unit, you will complete a 10-question quiz to gauge your level of understanding on the topics covered.
At the end of each module your summative assessment will consist of a multiple-choice examination and a coursework task such as a case study, data analysis task or literature review.
You can also attend masterclasses with renowned speakers (usually once a month) and sessions with the career guidance team.
Towards the end of your studies you will undertake a final project. This generally consists of an independent research project on a topic related to your studies which you complete over a prolonged period with the support of a supervisor.
